Most of the products sold at CT Hardware come with a manufacturer’s warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship. The length and terms of the warranty vary depending on the product and brand.
General Warranty Terms
- Duration: Warranties typically last from 6 months to 2 years depending on the brand and product category. Please refer to the specific product page or warranty card for exact details.
- What’s Covered: Manufacturer defects, faulty components, or issues that arise from normal use during the warranty period.
- What’s Not Covered: Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, improper maintenance, unauthorized repairs, or wear and tear.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
If you encounter an issue with your product that you believe is covered under warranty, please follow these steps:
1. Contact Us
Reach out to our customer service team at support@cthardware.com or 03-78730000 with the following information:
- Your order number or purchase receipt.
- A description of the issue and how it occurred.
- Photos or videos showing the defect or problem, if applicable.
2. Product Inspection
Once we receive your claim, we will assess the situation and may request that you return the product to us or the manufacturer for further inspection. The inspection will determine if the issue is covered under warranty.
Warranty Repair or Replacement
If the product defect is verified and covered under warranty, we will proceed with one of the following:
- Repair: The product will be repaired by the manufacturer or an authorized service center.
- Replacement: If repair is not possible, we will replace the product with a new or refurbished item of the same model.
Warranty Exclusions
The following scenarios are not covered under warranty:
- Accidental damage: Any damage caused by drops, spills, or misuse.
- Unauthorized repairs: Products that have been altered or repaired by anyone other than the manufacturer or an authorized service provider.
- Normal wear and tear: Cosmetic damage or general wear from regular use.
- Consumables: Items such as batteries, filters, or accessories unless specifically covered by the manufacturer.
Warranty for Specific Brands
Different brands may offer extended or limited warranties on their products. Please refer to the brand-specific warranty card included with your purchase for detailed information.
Bosch Power Tools
Bosch offer a standard 1-year professional warranty on their heavy duty power tools.
Warranty excludes: Chucks, power leads, service items, filters, and any components that are subject to wear caused by use.
Call 1800 880 188 and the Bosch Service Centre will arrange the best course of action to get your issue rectified. Please note, you will require to produce your CT Hardware invoice/cash sales bill as proof of purchase. The Bosch warranty applies to tools that are bought and used in Peninsular Malaysia subject to Manufacturing's defects. You can also bring it over to any of our showrooms for warranty or repair as we are one stop center for sales and service.
Makita Power Tools
Makita offer a standard 12 months warranty on their heavy duty tools excluding heat gun (6 months warranty).
Please check Makita Customer Service for contact of the nearest Authorised Service Center. Please note, you will require to produce your CT Hardware invoice/cash sales bill as proof of purchase. The Makita warranty applies to tools that are bought and used in Malaysia subject to Manufacturing's defects. You can also bring it over to any of our showrooms for warranty or repair as we are one stop center for sales and service.
Grundfos Pumps – 24 Months warranty
Call 03-5569 2330 and the Grundfos Service Hotline will arrange the best course of action to get your issue rectified. Please note, you will require to produce your CT Hardware invoice and customer's copy of Warranty card as proof of purchase. The Grundfos warranty applies to tools that are bought and used in Peninsular Malaysia and subject to Grundfos Warranty's Terms and Conditions.
